Ubiquity Theatre produce innovative; thought provoking and socially productive theatre in Germany and beyond. Established in Birmingham UK in 2002, Ubiquity have been living in Leipzig, Germany since 2005. Our work is structured around using theatre performances and workshops to challenge and question the world around us and the lives that we lead. A prime example of our work in Leipzig (Germany's own 'Little Paris') is our 'Sommertheater' performance of our (then) newly devised play 'NOMAD NO MORE' that used distinguished German actors within the city's well known Sommertheater Festival (18th - 30th July 2006). This ole house is getting shaky!! 01.07.2008 - We need some more space to spread our wings (although it takes SO much time to do anything here...) Would you believe it - after deciding to find new premises way back in January, and (after a few false-starts due to house-owners with dollar signs in their eyeballs) finding our a suitable place by the end of February - it is still taking far too much time to get ourselves up and running in our new home (who said England had too much bureaucracy - we are nothing compared to the paper-loving Germans!). If all goes as the rule-book states, we should be ready to re-start our workshop programme (with a few tempting additions - like a new 'devising theatre' workshop from one of England's finest young directors) by mid-August. We'll keep you posted on our re-opening and all it will involve as details become clear Looking back - (our first Leipzig-based project in 2006...) Our first major project in Leipzig worked in tandem with established MusikKneipe 'FLOWERPOWER' to produce a night of theatre; music and fun, fulfilling each of Ubiquity's aims, including the over-riding vision of giving people the opportunity to experience theatre that would not otherwise have the chance. click here for pictures and reviews... 22.04.2008 OUR SPONSORS & FUNDRAISING: If you, or your company feel that we are providing a service to the community that you would like to support and help develop, we are always very grateful for one-off or regular donations and sponsorship opportunities. Home The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed. ALBERT EINSTEIN
